Our first game since Haaland cursed the entire City Group with the "stay humble" comment. We suffered a few bad defeats in our first few seasons with Arteta against these cheats, but since beginning of last season we have won the Community shield on penalties, won once in the league, and achieved 2 draws.
The last of these draws was the game where (who else) Michael Oliver red-carded Trossard for clearing the ball at halftime and we earned the description of "dark arts" for playing with ten men against the best possession team in the league for 45 minutes.
City: should have Dias, Ake and Doku out. I predict that they do what they did against Chelsea. Absorb more pressure than usual and hit it long to Haaland/Marmoush and wide to Gvardiol and Nunes.
Arsenal: our goalie is a doubt but hopefully should be fit enough. To counter Haaland's muscularity and the long balls, I would start Timber and Calafiori. We will want to control play and then we can mix it up later, so I would start Partey, Rice, Odegaard - and later replace Partey with Merino. Up front, Trossard, Havertz, Nwanners. Martinelli to stretch them later
