I was listening to someone talk about MLS and why he really hasnt been seen this season. They were saying that Arteta realized his future was not at LB, and even though he played there a few times earlier in the season, he was having him train as a CM for the next few months in training, and was not ready to play him there until he felt the time was right (which happened to be v. Fulham, and the results were apparent).
It actually makes total sense to me. Im not sure if this was common knowledge to everyone else and i was just completely oblivious to it, or if that was all happening behind closed doors and we didn't really know what was happening with him as a fanbase.
