VAR can only intervene for straight reds which is what they did here.

They can't overturn a yellow or suggest a yellow.

Unfortunately they cant imtervene to reverse a yellow card, but they can review a potential red card offence even if a yellow was given first. They just can't give a retrospective yellow if one wasn't originally given and the review deems it not strong ebough for a red. We've been fucked but this one was our fault tbh.

Sorry mates this is a travesty, the third dubious "technical" red card given against us in eight league runouts, no other club is getting refereed like this.

They're doing it with their northern pundit mates for the clicks and for the relevance of PGMOL in the broadcast offering.

Arsenal is the ideal target because most of the big name pundits already hate us and have their attack lines rehearsed, and we've got a highly active online support to sustain the attention cycle.

Have to disagree. That was a clear red. Was relieved at first. And then VAR actually worked. The system worked. Just that we were on the wrong end of it when it worked for once.
