Mirth I guess I just think Myles has demonstrated qualities in his time with the first team which have helped him to succeed since coming through and that at least some of those qualities - for example, his self confidence - would have been apparent to the coaching staff before the big breakthrough.
And I find it interesting that you mention Reiss Nelson in this regard (really😉), because I think Myles confidence allows him to express himself on the football pitch in a way that we've rarely seen from Nelson. And Nelson is now 25 years old.
My point is, I think Myles is a bit special - ergo, not a high risk gamble. 😊
Edit: I will absolutely concede, of course, that the impact he's had on the first team must be a bit of a shock to everyone.
