Not sure but Nelson looked hungry in pre-season. If he gets an opportunity he needs to seize it this time.

lorddulaarsenal funny how fuck ESR, can never stay fit...but Coman is ace lol. Over his career Coman averages 23 match day squad per year(ESR was fit and in the squad for 31 games last year, a number Coman never got to). And not surprisingly Coman is getting worse by the year, last year he was fit for 18 games, had about 150 days out with 6 different injuries.
Then you add his 4 goal per season average, his 325.000 euro per week salary(thats 45.000 per week more then our highest paid guy) and his transfer fee, and sign on bonuses and what not and and you got a true ace.

Every pre season I hear that about Nelson before he accumulates a total of around 100mins in the league for the whole season.

Clrnc He's a capable player in terms of his skill set, but he's looked positionally and tactically deficient whenever he's had his brief outings. Really can't see him suddenly slipping into gear as an Artetaballer.

Qwiss it’s not just £25m. It’s the fact that academy players don’t have existing amortisation to net out, so that £25m goes straight to the bottom line this year if we sell him, which is big for FFP etc.

Qwiss that's true, I guess I'm thinking more that the wages both players are on now are stupid (which in and of themselves makes it harder to sell both player).

More justifiable for Eddie than for Nelson though.

Coman has some less than stellar off the field stuff in his recent past that I'd rather avoid after having to deal with #5 for the last few years. I'd be interested in Sane though.

Burnwinter he’s looked excellent in preseason. But we know in season, he’s meek. The guy needs an unlock.

Interesting that Brighton has been sniffing around. They’re the highest team that’s looked at any of these excess kids seriously this year, and it’s Nelson they’re intrigued by, not ESR/Nketiah.

We’re not everyone.

We have to win something this season.

Other clubs have different timelines and on different journeys. Next year is seminal for Arteta so no time messing about with the season starting in 10 days. We know every point counts so fine margins from day 1.

Mirth agree. we're officially floor raiser fc if we're going for guys like solanke, and will quickly get trapped in a cycle of having to clear out mid-tier players every 2 years, while winning nothing

we do need to get moving though. if funds are limited, don't spend yourself into a corner on yet another defender, no matter how promising as he is.
