Mirth but he'll at least give us an option going on the front foot. Playing with Kiwior is playing one man less. You notice how the players never pass to him. They don't trust him

Mirth not sure there's been that much to cope with. Bayern have spent barely any time in our third. And they've struggled to build out from the back for much of the game.

If we continue to suffocate them and cut out the mistakes, I wouldn't be that worried about putting Zinchenko on.

Plus Kiwior is limiting Martinelli as an attacking threat.

The problem is absolutely not Bayern being too good. We're just shitting the bed here. Need to get a grip and play our game.

must say, a bit disappointed by rice. feel like he could be doing more to help kiwior. he's been AWOL in the build up on both goals. I know he's playing higher, but I have somewhat come to expect superhuman fire fighting defending to chase down opponents breaks. seen more defensive input from odegaard tonight

For context, Bayern is comfortably one of the 3 hardest teams we’ve played in 2024. We’ve played a lot of shit to average teams. These guys are nearer to Pool and City than the teams we were smashing left right and centre.

We are 1/4 of the way through the tie. Hope the team is learning

Qwiss not the occasion. The pace of Sane. He simply can't keep up. Should've held him once he got turned but for some reason allowed it to become a footrace which put pressure on the whole team falling back until Saliba succumbed and fouled Sane.

That's exactly what's costing us. We're pressing high and leaving space like we're facing Danny Welbeck on the weekend. We had the opportunity to bring the tempo down and measure ourselves after taking the lead. But now we're behind and we have no choice but to chase the game and that will give them more space to hurt us on the transition.

Saliba is a disaster for the pen, bizarrely steps out the way then steps back in the concede the pen. Thought he looked shaky vs Porto too.

I think he and Rice are feeling the CL pressure more than anyone based on the knockout rounds.

They need to absorb the pressure. Look at Odegaard, he’s the only one that truly looks like he could easily belong in that Bayern team.

We need to get back to a bit more structure to regain confidence.

They are replaying the penalty incident from six different angles on my half time coverage … amazing run by Sane, but there were at least three big chances not to fuck that up.

Both goals we've given up involved a string of errors and misjudgements
