United are one of few clubs for whom these pandemic allowances have become public. It sounds as if United's was unusually large in absolute terms because of their huge revenue.

It also sounds as if other clubs (Arsenal and Spurs according to Swiss Ramble's estimates) had large losses, and may have been permitted similarly large claims in relative terms. But most clubs' audited claims along these lines have remained confidential.

I dont know why ManU fans and pundits are all gaga over their win yesterday. They were equally matched in almost the whole game, they scored a jammy goal at the death and were lucky to scrape by a team that finished 13th last season (at home no less). If we put in this kind of performance later today and escape with a jammy 1 goal win against Wolves, i will be very worried.

Tbf it was an improvement on last season for them. They limited Fulham's threat and created enough from open play to have won more comfortably.

Remember this is a team looking to go from 8th to 4th, and within that context yesterday was promising for them.

Have only watched the 2nd but Liverpool have been tearing Ipswich apart all half. Could be 7 or 8 up.

Qwiss I think all 3 promoted teams will go down again. Barely signed anyone game changing and their squads look so weak

Clrnc rarely happens, last season was an outlier in that regard. Leicester should go down and I think Soton will too but I think Ipswich will have enough to survive. I think Brentford, Forrest and maybe even Wolves will be down there. Fancy Forrest to go down.
