Lad needs to work on his off the ball. At youth level he was just like hand me the ball and I'll make something happen. But you can stand still hoping the ball will come.

He's outrageous on the ball just needs to be average off it.

Only thing he's missing is top speed, if he had that, he'd be a Salah regen. His lack of it makes him better placed through the middle. Will be interesting to see his trajectory but his finishing is outrageously good, so he's likely to be a 15+ goals a season scorer at the least.

What about that Thierry-esque flick up to turn and shoot? That would have been some goal.

Love that he has proper shooting ability. We've have too many forwards with sub-par to non-existent ability to strike the ball.

JazzG Not to traffic in stereotypes, but athletes with one of those West African booties seem to be bloody hard to knock over, just look at Saka. Nwaneri's got that low centre of gravity.

Segway he's a 10 all day. We just don't play with a 10. No harm for him to round out his game playing 8 for a while though.

JazzG he's just 18, you can see the natural filling out. Imagine in 2 years when he's as strong as Saka was at 20. He'll be unplayable. Its one of the biggest advantage Myles has over him at the moment, you look at Myles walking out with Rice, Zubi, etc and he's as big as they are. Nwaneri is still a bit slight.

If we're really lucky he times his physical development so he goes up a level after Christmas. It'll be a superb boost during the second half of the season when the team often lose some of their wind.

His physical development isn't his main challenge though, don't really have any worries about that. He's got a natural stocky build, even stockier than Saka was when he was coming through - he'll be fine. Where Nwaneri needs to improve a lot is what spaces he takes up and his speed of thought/execution to ensure he keeps up momentum/stays in the flow of the game.

Sicario2 I think thats where Arteta sees him as not quite there. Its why I'm surprised they are talking about him for a central role now and it worries me a bit.
