Sicario2 Could also be the other way around. He has not had many opportunities recently and maybe that is causing some concerns? If I were him I'd also be pissed off I wasn't brought in in the CL SF but who knows what's going on behind the scenes.

We need to keep Nwaneri and give him a route to the first team. If Arteta and Berta can't sort that out I'll lose almost all faith in them. I'd imagine this is just normal negotiating for a young player though to make sure he doesn't get left out in these important development years.

I swear some of these younger players agents are too much work. He’s just turned 18, playing for club going for the league and CL and has 25 appearances. How many games do his reps think he should be playing?

Unlike with MLS it is clear that he needs to bulk up a bit more but he is only 18.

This is an unnecessary concern. The kid just turned 18. He played more minutes as a 17 year old than other recent phenoms including Miles, Saka, Foden etc. Relative to other talented kids, he’s far ahead in terms of use and integration into the first team. Remember that at the end of his first season, Saka saw his time reduced, including missing the FA cup final. He seems to be okay now.

Personally I think his lack of playing time recently is more a product of a training plan focused on getting him more physically ready for the PL. We played him a ton when Havertz and Saka went out and probably more than we planned on going into the season- which I’m guessing was a mutual plan with Nwaneri and his management. He’s going to explode in the next two years if we do everything well to prepare him and his body for the workload. Dowmans rise will probably be good for him too since he won’t have a huge focus on him externally this summer. I’m expecting a big season from him next year.

This lad plays like he has Brazilian genes. The touch, close control and movement is just astounding. He gets the ball and immediately moves into the centre where things are most congested - and thrives. Holy shit what a compilation.

Bring Back Kerrea Gilbert Nobody has forgotten, G/A every 125 mins for a 17/18 years is serious numbers at the top level. He just needs time to bulk up physically and we need to keep managing his minutes.
