Tomorrow, we're taking on Porto, and let's face it, our track record in the Champions League knockout stages has been about as reliable as British weather (since 2010 we have not gone past this stage). We need to fuck them up, no two ways about it.
This will be Brentford x10. They will dive, cheat, cry, waste time, stop the game every 30 seconds. The ref will no doubt do the same, as somehow, CL refs are even worse then the PL ones. So we need to be smart, do not get into it with them, play our game, please press them and we must not waste any chances.
Now, on to the injury report: Timber's still out, Martinelli's joining the injury squad and will be out until the City game, he won't go to the national team, so at lest we got that. Tomyiasu's disappearance remains a mystery. Where did he go, what happened? We do not know.
As for Porto, they're missing 3 players. Who are they? No clue, but they're not suiting up, which works in our favor, maybe.
I think Arteta will go with the same line-up, and I agree bar Trossard, he needs to play as a striker or not play. He is very hit and miss on the left, and when he misses, boy he misses. But with Martinelli out, no idea who we play there? There is no way Arteta starts ESR or Nelson. Maybe Jesus on the left? Zinchenko is probably not that fit, but he could help in creating chances.
