AAStyle agree I think we'll be in that top bracket but to win titles on the last 5 or so seasons you need to be ruthless as City have made there little room for error. High points tallies which means you need to win a lot of games and that's when goals are going to trump defence. I don't want us to be at the end of the season and looking back saying if we could have done this. We've learnt the lesson from city last season the hard way you have to up your game or you will be hoping City mess up. They set the level you can't say at don't know what is needed.

WE need to get out of that mentality? that's not a mentality, it's facts. when have they lost a close title race in the past 5 years? liverpool's own came when they blew everyone away. when it's close city wins. it's not the fans that are going to be feeling the pressure if city is the one chasing us, it'll be the players.

It’s a myth. They won the title by a point or two in a few of those seasons which means Liverpool went on those runs too and it literally swung on a game or a goal.

We had a 50 point start to last season.

winning the title by a point (twice) shows that they aren't the ones who slip up. that's the point. you're under pressure to better them because they aren't going to fail when it's close.

goon I disagree he was good personally. He wasn't terrible but he did not make anywhere near enough of the moments he had. He's also got to be one of our goal scorers in a team where we don't really have many , if any, real goal scorers who can deliver the numbers we need. He's a young player so it's not unreasonable they can dip but if he's going to be put in the team most games in that role that's going to be the expectation on him.

I know that his stats are very good, however IMO he has insane conversion rate and I do not think it will continue. And I do not think he was very good today.

lorddulaarsenal indeed hopefully back for the next two bouts against Liverpool if not the third. In theory would allow us to further shore up in midfield and left side.

The yellows that the ref gave out in the 1st half definitely affected our defensive play in the 2nd half

Gunner89 think playing with 3 mids on yellow was a mistake. Should probably have taken one out so we had someone who could take more risks.
