konate was a boss though. it's about partnerships. i think they would be good together. saliba has to take upamecano's spot. i don't see him and upamecano being a good partnership where as konate can partner upamecano and saliba.

Also, shout-out to Jesus who worked his absolute socks off

Zinchenko had a couple of poor moments but let's be clear that Salah would do that to most of the league's defenders one-on-one.

We definitely need one offensive addition.

Gunner89 not clear at all. Zinchenko gifted him that. He's a piss poor defender. Salah got one on one with Gabriel like that too but Gabriel didn't just present him the cut in so it came to nothing.

the first 20 minutes were perfect, but we've started well at anfield many times. that 2nd half wasn't the stuff of potential champions. our forwards are severely lacking in composure and intelligence

rice and saliba emerge with credit, mainly by dint of being the only players that didn't give the ball away over and over, which everyone else did throughout the game

They just need to gamble at the back post, it’s not that hard. Martinelli in particular. Until they learn to make that run they’re never going to score 20+ goals.

Jesus worked his socks off but probably at the expense of being a focal point. He was behind play a little too often.

That being said, Liverpool were no better in that regard.

tazmania yeah not getting the praise for Jesus today. Did very little positive. Mostly played aimless balls across the box. Annoying we don't get in for those but it's not how we play so why's Jesus playing them instead of picking people out.
