villa are sticking with their high line. runs in behind have caused them major problems. need to keep doing that, especially havertz and martinelli. they can catch them flat footed

all in all we've done way better than city did, and arguably should be drawing this game

Think we've been marginally better side but we've been so inefficient in attack. Saka and Martinelli have been really off colour. Think Odegaard, Havertz and Jesus have played pretty well.

Villa look well capable of getting more though and the longer we trail the more likely it is that they will. Our left side is so weak, really missing Tomiyasu there.

Good first half. Frustrated about their goal, think Rice gets drawn to the ball when he should have held his position. But we are creating quite a few good chances against a very good team away from home so there's lots of positives to take from the game so far.

Yea I was wondering where he was, and with the replays I see he was steaming in to be a redundant defender on Bailey instead of marking his man.

We don't have the cutting edge quality yet, sadly. Not good enough during the deciding moments. Not aggressive enough, not confident enough, not clinical enough.

Hope we can somehow get something out of this game still. Overall we haven't been too bad, but just not good enough against a good team at their stadium.
