There is a three week break in league fixtures after New Year's, taking us all the way to Palace visiting the Emirates on 20 January.

Any sequence of Premier League matches is tough, but this is a medium intensity run that includes two very tricky away games at Villa Park and Anfield.

Only can reach 16 points if we win against Fulham. Kinda on par with what I expected,

Performance wise is worrying. We were lucky against Brentford and Liverpool, held on for our lives against Wolves and Luton.

My prediction was 16 using the following formula: "tricky away" (2 matches) allocate 1 point, "easy home" (2 matches) allocate 3 points, "easy away" or "tricky home" (4 matches) allocate 2 points. I think that would represent normal form for us.

20+ points would be an epic run which would surely keep us well in the title race.

I reckon we'll get something between 16 & 19 points putting us between 43 & 46 points after 20 games which is decent but probably not title winning form.

Don’t forget Villa play City at home on the Wed before our game (we play the day before v Luton away). That is a massive advantage for us.

Sicario2 - Tier 1 those kind of "advantage" never seem to be an advantage for us in the end always.

Lost count of how many times we have an extra rest day and easier match only to see opponents being fitter than us and swamping all over

We are playing the worst team in the league before and they are playing the best minus 1 days rest.

It’s the best time to play Villa tbh.

Deccers's revenge against West Ham, and not losing against Villa, Brighton, and 'pool are my personal hopes.

I think Arteta might overthink Wolves.

All in all, we should be able to come through with 1 loss and a couple of draws.

I actually think we will beat Villa. However, I think we will lose to Liverpool and I foresee another slip-up in one of the other games.
