Ben White's nearly won me over. Him, Saka, Saliba, Gabriel and Ødegaard willed a clean 0-1. Trossard got it going into the second half.
Fan of Vieira but to replicate some of Xhaka's pass and move automatisms, to get the most out of the left-side no.8/10 pivots with the winger and forward, and to provide some goal scoring threat, I think Smith-Rowe should be reared and afforded opportunity too. Not that replication should be the aim per se, I am all for evolution.
Zinchenko can provide an inspired moment that makes a difference but I find it hard to stomach the baggage that tends to comes with it: painfully one-footed, occasionally sloppy passing, and an attacking midfielder forced quite wide.
All knitpicking though. Everyone was at least ok, great result to break the poor run at Goodison, and proud of this team's unbeaten start. Don't think it's easy to come back from a break to play such a tricky fixture; our first 5-10 minutes were bang-on.
