Sicario2 Takes a lot of charisma on the pitch to balance out getting yourself dispossessed on the edge of your own area leading to a goal. Here's hoping it's a little lesson for Rice. His apology after told us he knew he'd cost us big time by monitoring his teammates instead of himself.

Sicario2 He's dropped off a bit due to burnout lately, all while amping up the school prefect act. Just needs to even it out. A few of our passionate players have been through this hero phase in prior seasons, Gabriel is an outstanding case. Rice is having a good season, all he needs to do is pay attention to the basics.

JazzG he made another mistake by losing the ball to Solanke near our box. Was quite a poor performance by his standards. That isn't to say he didn't contribute positively, but he needs to put his head down and just perform and not let the media hype about being a leader and the real captain get in his head.

est That was what led to Raya's wondersave from Richarlison's flick. Raya dug him out a big hole with that one. The focus on him would have been immense had they scored there.

est I think like a lot of our player he has been run into the ground which I'm sure doesn't help, we really need to rotate in that CM position more because Zubimendi also has looked really off it.

Unfortunately, his is the area of the pitch where we have minimum backup and the greatest drop-off from the first team to the bench. This is why both he and Zubimendi are gassed. Needs to be a priority in the summer.

Bernard Woolley sorry but we have a perfectly capable backup that can come in and do a job for 20 minutes when we're 2-0 or 3-1 up. It's just the manager refuses to use him.

Not to mention that MLS and even Calafiori can somewhat cover that position as well. It's not that we're playing this expansive attacking football and need their offensive contribution when ahead either.

Bernard Woolley I do think Zubi has a bit of cover in Norgaard and I have yet to see the huge drop off when he's featured, he was also very solid at Brentford (the reason we signed him I assume).

With Merino out Rice is a bit harder to replace.

Qwiss can we not play Havertz there? Or even Ode and then play Eze number 10?

Qwiss Agree completely. Norgaard doesn't seem to have the legs to play the Rice role (frankly not many do). I wouldn't mind seeing a Norgaard - Ode - Eze MF against some of the bottom half teams.

I think people will also come to appreciate Ode more when he's not expected to score/assist as much - not withstanding that he is better suited deep and not in front of goal.

daredevil agree, ode at number 10 is finished, he will not be KDB 2.0 that we thought 3/4 years ago.

I actually think he’s a lot more effective coming on as a sub. Newcastle away, yesterday and another game I can’t recall the opponent he came on as a sub he was really good and looks fresh and less of a liability.

I have no interest in Odegaard deeper. He has no ability to win duels or keep up with players.

Sure he’d be fine in possession, but opposition would be rolling past him any time they had the ball.
