You absolutely can compare Henry and Messi, I just did it and it's what conversations like this are for.
I was only taking the mick anyway, hope that was clear.
But surely downgrading Henry is a result of projecting traumatic disappointments like Paris 2006 into the future?
That 19 year projection will become crisp for all of us if somehow we get past PSG, and if that happens and we're facing Barcelona again, the entire press corps will be amplifying the narrative. I'm just glad they haven't started in earnest yet as it'd jinx us badly at this point.
