Given how highly rated he's in Germany, would Bayer accept Havertz + 50m for Wirtz? I watched the 1st 30 minutes of Leipzig v Leverkusen yesterday and Wirtz was unreal!

Tactics Crazy that people want to get rid of Havertz. He's our second best forward behind Saka and it's not even close.

I don't mind keeping Havertz as a squad player but I would happily sell him to Leverkusen if that increases our chances of landing Wirtz.

Absolutely. He missed some good chances yesterday, but he has been absolutely flogged this month. I find it difficult to be overly critical of him given the shifts he ALWAYS puts in.

Also, I don't know if anyone saw Odegaard talking recently, he said Kai is his best friend in football. I know that's a soft factor, but it speaks volumes to me about Havertz character that the captain of this club is so close to him.

Sicario2 His effort is never questioned. Yesterday he was dying at the end there but still running like crazy. But yesterday he should have scored 2, one was harder to miss then score. Vs Spurs he missed a few, vs United he missed just insane chances, like it's hard to even understand how he missed that one at the end vs United. Against Newcastle as well, missed some sitters.
He is not the striker we need, never will be that guy, yeah, he will score a few, any guy playing for us up top will score a decent amount of goals, but we need someone better. And as much as he is loved and adored by our fan base(for some reason) we need to accept that he is not good enough for that 8 role we play either. So what does Arteta do with him?

I have a Liverpool friend who was texting in the WhatsApp group that our corners are like penalties. And I said “you realise we only convert 1/20 of these things?” He said it felt like a lot more given the stress they create. xG helps cut through these perceptions.

HomeSteak headers are hard, man. One was a great save and the others were very good efforts. His scoring rate is quite good, but his penchant for a ridiculous miss makes all his other misses more frustrating. These were not misses like the disaster against United.

That was probably the best thing he did all game. He took it well too, headed the ball down where you are supposed to. Just unlucky it was right at the keeper. Really tricky one to manipulate both down and to the side.

Havertz problem isn't his finishing, it could be better but no big deal, it's that his xg is so low in the first place. He doesn't get on the end of things often enough and he doesn't get his shots away. That's because he's not a CF.

He's doing well all things considered but we need a real CF.

yup, that's exactly why we have xG. Neither of his headers were easy regardless what the pundits are faffing on about.

CPM honestly I would be more inclined to find another wide forward to go ahead of Martinelli. I like Martinelli but think we are more likely to do better in most games for two reasons

Harvetz is just contributing way more than Martinelli
wingers are probably more available than strikers. There are 2-3 strikers everyone is chasing.

CPM no one wants to get rid of Havertz but in a title winning team he goes on the bench. Simple.

When we do eventually bring in a striker, Havertz will continue to start the majority of games. And I think we'll see a lot of 4-4-2 with Rice and Ødegaard as CMs behind Havertz and Sesko/whoever.

Coombs agree with all of this. Just watched Watkins who is a decent striker miss two good headers. Just getting a good header off is a win.
