We score more goals against weaker opposition when Havertz plays. Exactly how he contributes to the scoring is unclear to me, but I'm fairly sure it's statistically true. Maybe it's off the ball movement, maybe it's the threat of ungainly giraffe violence. It's great to finally have him back. Touch wood he stays fit.

People wanting to shoehorn ode inside but he literally doesn't offer anything defensively nor even progressive passes these days from the deep, he might run 20 yards forward to run 10 back or pass it to the back

With both Øde and Saka out having Havertz around is a refreshing break from the way we've relentlessly done things.

If he'd curled that speculative shot into the top left corner from outside the box … meanwhile presenting for and redistributing Trossard's ball to Gyökeres is an example of a little thing Kai can do that some of our other options really struggle to do.

It’s still going to be Rice and Zubimendi at the base of the midfield. The question is who plays with those two.
