Havertz is a starting-XI caliber player for us, there's no question. It's true that we're missing a bit of 'ruthlessness quotient' in the team right now, and Kai doesn't help that. He's not a 'pick the lock' player. But he provides enormous quality physically, technically, and tactically, and that translates into goals and wins at the end of the day.
Remember our form second half of 23-24, where we were beating teams 5/6-0 playing Ødegaard-Saka-Havertz triangles? No guarantee he gets back to his best or stays fit, but there's a lot of upside with him. I think he helps us in big games in particular, which are so demanding physically/technically.
Gyökeres may still be helpful against deep blocks, there's merit to him pushing the defensive lines back and creating space. But he needs to reinvent his game and figure out how he can contribute more than that.
