awooga83 Haha, cheers.
I would defy anyone who was in that stadium on Sunday (as I know you were) and was part of what they referred to on the Arsecast Extra, correctly I think, as a show of defiance as well as celebration (and, I would add, love for both the team and manager) and not think that something incredibly special is brewing at the Arsenal.
I completely accept that Arteta needs to figure out how to land the plane, so to speak, and that another April collapse next year will present a problem for us - unless we've already sewn the title up... but for this team to do what they have done this season is remarkable. And I think a large part of it is genuinely down to the fact that Arteta has reconnected the team to the fans. I referred to the Emirates as being the best place in the country to watch football in a tweet on Sunday night - and I meant it, no irony at all. The last two seasons going up the Arsenal have been the most fun I've ever had at football - at the age of 45. That Arteta has managed to create this environment in such a relatively short period of time is a massive credit to him and, I guess, the club too.
I don't expect progress to be linear, it rarely is, and we know there will be different challenges next season but we are better placed to face those challenges than we have been for many, many years.
