I was pretty dismayed by his reluctance with his cards when there were a string of professional fouls. I don't feel we've had the run of the decisions this season, but even beyond that I think the standard of refereeing is very very poor.

Burnwinter I had similar conspiratorial thoughts that maybe arteta gone all quixotic and done something to tick him off, but there wasn't any hint of anything untoward in the press. the only known external factor could be contract negotiations, but those seem to have been ticking along without much drama.
