That feels like a big result. I admit I was one of those absolutely dreading this game given their recent form, especially what they did to Spurs, and how we got battered there last season. And it felt like the whole league was licking their lips in anticipation of us getting humiliated too so bit of a middle finger to everyone else. Like last week, If nothing else, it at least forces City to have to win their games.
That first 10 minutes we seemed a bit shell shocked and it felt like it wasn’t a matter of if or even when they would score, but how many. Credit to the team getting through that period and for a great strike from Odegaard changing the course of the game. Big performance from Ramsdale too.
