23/24 transfer choices

Title or not, next season window will probably the most important window since 15/16. Basically we need to strengthen correctly to keep the momentum going and not make the same mistakes Wenger did.

Seeing that the forum has quite a diverse view on who we should sign, let's have some fun to see what's the most popular way here to splash.

Voted for Rice/Caicedo out of the choices. To be honest I want Victor Roque.

Also I want Fresneda and a CB.

Will be a very interesting summer ahead. Free agency will be used and our outgoings will have to help.

Osimhen would take us to the next level. Not sure any of the other options do that. Maybe Bellingham.

I want a new look midfield more than anything at this point. Rice + Caicedo accomplishes that.

Quite interesting how many people wants to splash our entire budget on 2 very good CMs. Thought there were quite a few who were one world class Bellingham or Kvaratdonna is enough.

Apparently Klopp thinks the same. He gives up Bellingham to sign 2 CMs.

I like Martinelli as a roaming CF and thinks a top LW will bring our level up more.

I wonder if I included a Rice, Veiga and Dumfries will people plump for that instead

Clrnc for me Bellingham is enough but it seems he is joining the Abu Dhabi Marketing Project. Given that, then I think an upgrade on Xhaka is the most sensible use of cash - eg Rice. And then an alternative forward. I like Randal Kolo Muani.

Would love Bellingham, but he will be city bound.

Ugarte is very interesting, he was like two men out there for Sporting against us, and his stats this season says the same. He and Caicedo would be tremendous. Plus with money left over you can go for an attacker.

There will be some interesting choices out there.

We need a contingency plan, but I expect there will be no charges and Partey will continue to play regularly for us for the next few years.

Partey is fine, especially if we get a starting left 8 who is combative. An energetic starting left 8 like Rice means that Jorginho or Xhaka can spell Partey without leaving us low on athleticism. The key for me is 1) athletic 8 to replace Xhaka and 2) big body forward.

Partey strikes me as someone who will fall off an age cliff. Need a clear succession plan.

Coombs this. Unless he can somehow adapt his game, and I don't see that happening. Absolutely have to get his successor in place this upcoming window. Caicedo can come in and give him competition /rest without costing us much and allow us phase him out in 2 years.
