Burnwinter 100% that's why I was upset deep down despite the result and more relieved than uplifted yesterday. We are risking a well-earned and justified title run, not some miracle gift opportunity. This is my personal expectation of the team.
I appreciate I am a casual without expertise so may not be able to discern it but I just haven't seen clear adjustments about this 'problem' across the dip period and during yesterday, and we're just as likely to toil next weeks because the issue isn't suddenly gone. My spotlight's on Arteta.
As with others, still retain we're the best team in the league and didn't just suddenly fold on the title charge based on Wednesday's result ,nor want to react in polar after yesterday.
awooga83 Your posts in the last few weeks have been really refreshing and have invited personal introspection because your view on the team seems quite polar to mine. When you suggest the first half of the season being the exception and that we're returning closer to true value. I was effectively the only one who considered the true level of the team last season to be 4th or higher, and this season had us as a contender. Jesus and Zinchenko have missed more than half of this campaign so any sentiment that we've become challengers via osmosis with acquiring former champions is also at least half fallacious for me.
My biggest questions remain with squad management, tactical versatility, rotation(favourites), and mid-game adjustments. However, Arteta and co have earned so much legit trust and we're largely in such a good way that I don't want to amplify these questions, and it may not be warranted either.
