lorddulaarsenal I think Mount would really add a lot to our attack. Very underrated due to being in a shit, unsettled Cheslea side. He'll probably go to one of our rivals this summer and do really well.

Qwiss I agree. I think he'd be a good fit in the Xhaka role. He works hard across the pitch and just imagine him getting some of the chances that Xhaka got in the Fulham game. I really feel like we need someone that is a lot more comfortable on both feet as a left-sided 8. Xhaka has been great there for a good portion of the season but his reluctance to use his right foot closes up a lot of angles and limits him offensively which we saw when he didn't finish that lovely flowing move with Trossard in the first half. Combined with Odegaard, who is also very one-footed, it definitely feels like we need someone more comfortable with both feet in at least one of those advanced midfield positions to open up play more.

Need a top class winger/striker in summer. Our backup options won't cut it in a champions league season.. Priority for me after a CM.

Midfield is the key. If anything the EL highlighted how first team forwards can’t make an impact without Ode and Partey in the lineup. Raise the level of the midfield and it raises the level of everyone behind and in front of them.

Yeah. Midfield is priority but I think we can make more than 1 top class signing in the summer.

I'd go with two midfielders! Xhaka and Partey need a succession plan.

We do actually. But adding a top midfielder to say for example if we got Rice + Partey, Xhaka and Jorginho is overkill thats excluding the other 'lesser' options of Trossard, Elneny and Vieira.. One for the season after Id say..

The drop in level after Saka and Martinelli is too big. Trossard is quality but what I really like about him is his versatility, he will be filling multiple roles in the team.. I like ESR but he is going to need to prove that his body can hack it and I dont think he will get much minutes in the remainder of the season to do that, maybe a loan season in the premiership next season wouldn't be a bad idea but probably a bit too late for that in his career... Nelson has not shown enough for me.

Same thought. Is anyone else curious what Jesus would look like in place of Xhaka? If we continue as we are, we’re going to be facing low blocks more and more and Xhaka’s defensive understanding won’t be as crucial. And we’re talking about the “worlds best defensive forward”. Anyway, depends on who we can bring in upfront.

Temo nope. Jesus is a striker. Xhaka does a lot of things we don’t want Jesus doing. Look at Xhaka’s typical heat map and his actions.

Claudius Xhaka does a lot of things we don’t want Xhaka doing too. If it upsets the balance just push Odegaard further back. It’s mainly that he would have so much presence in midfield, where his freakish combination of mobility and strength could work better than they do chasing loose ends upfront. There’s plenty of potential up and downsides to it, but if we have the chance to buy a top striker, it’d be worth a try
