I watched it. He basically just said that the markets still open and we have to be ready to react. Sounds like he wants some reinforcement.

As for Tierney, what else is he going to say? Especially when the chances of getting a good fee from his sale are starting to dwindle.

Fair do. I read it as anything is possible but will probably look at internal solutions. But yeah, not necessarily playing it entirely straight with the media.

I'd imagine if Tierney goes they'll get another defender and if he stays they wont. I think Tierney is in a weird inbetween space with Arteta where he'd be happy to upgrade but he's also fairly comfortable with keeping him. Probably mostly up to what the player wants.

There's nothing to read into Arteta press conference. He often lies and says cagey same stuffs.

But he's proven to be a man who will not stop improving the team till he get 2 top quality option in every position.

Just realised we definitely have to recruit as we are losing Partey, Elneny and Tomiyasu in January to their respective nations. Going to be very very short.

Clrnc Well we have Rice and Jorginho so hopefully they can make up for Parteys absence. Tomi is a big loss because we've already lost Timber, he wont be back fit by then.

Would love for us to go back in for Fresneda. Offers versatility in that he can play a straight forward RB role, looks like he could develop into an inverted RB and also has the size to deputize at CB if needed. He is so young and it really feels like this is the last summer that anyone will be able to get him for 20m or less.

Where is Tomi going? Didn’t realise Asia had mid season competitions.

Not sure how we will cope without Elneny though.
