Pepe LeFrits have to differ there, I think Jesus is the next spot that needs a big upgrade but next summer is time enough. Martinelli is already one of the best wide forwards in Europe.

Ok so sell/get rid of Pepe, Balogun, Tierney, Cedric and Holding.

Complete the Rice and Timber deals. Then get Vlahovic.

Might be best if we don’t go after a wide man as cover for Saka and let Nwanieri get game time out there, or rely on Trossard, Nelson, Kai or Jesus to do a job instead.

If Partey goes then replace him with a star, otherwise we’d be stuffed if Rice were to be unavailable

Good point. If Rice is injured, we will be left with Jorginho Havertz and Odegaard as midfield trio and that's way too lightweight

we'd have amazing depth. if arteta can keep them all happy - and its a big if considering the calibre of players we're bringing in - we would have midfield options to compete on all fronts. I'd like to get FDJ just to take another slash in united soup

Yeahhhhh, no. If we let Partey go before any more incomings, it means we have already signed his replacement (Rice). We aren't going to sign another top drawer midfielder and promise him, Havertz and Rice a starting berth. Keeping Partey is crucial to our midfield transition and his departure would be a massive blow.

If we do sign another midfielder in Partey's departure, it'll most likely be a backup level midfielder.

daredevil why is keeping Partey and signing Rice a realistic option while selling Partey and signing Rise plus someone of similar quality to Partey not? Wouldn't those alternatives mirror each other?
