QuincyAbeyie goals depend on your ability to strike the ball and the goalie. the assist takes all that into account plus the assister's own passing ability, and the ability of the scorer to receive the ball.
Think of how many players you look at and think 'wow, he's creative' but they don't appear top of the assist charts. It's all these factors and others. It's a crap stat.

Claudius I havent said anything about assists. I'm saying that argument 1) goes for goals as well. If goals weren't dependent on other players abilities, there wouldn't be a need to have creativity in the team at all.

Sicario2 players get injuries. Sometimes they take a while to recover fully. Last season people were regularly talking about selling Odegaard. Tonight he runs Allianz Arena.

Let Saka recover. Havertz is another one who is possibly dealing with injury. Remember he got injured during the international break and hasn’t looked normal since.

Mikel Arteta said Arsenal's medical staff are "concerned" by Bukayo Saka's injury after he was forced off in their 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich.

The winger had to be replaced by Eberechi Eze in the 10th minute at the Allianz Arena after appearing to hurt his left thigh while playing a pass.

"They are a bit concerned," Arteta told TNT Sports. "A player that has to come off with a really sharp pain is never good news but we have to wait and see."

Let's pray it's not as bad as it looked 😭 our attacking options are now Eze, Madueke, Dowman, Odegaard, Havertz and Gyokeres and Merino lol. Doesn't make for good reading.

On Bukayo’s injury…
It’s his quad. It was early in the game, and the level of intensity his game requires is something incredible. The quality, strength and attention you need has to be at the highest level, and those things happen unfortunately. It doesn’t look good at all, but we have to wait and see.

I’m less concerned by the recovery time/effort for this injury, and more so concerned this is further indication his lower body is out of sorts.

He spent the whole summer struggling for fitness, we have played him in nearly every game since the start of the season and he has been playing for England. At some point someone needs to get a grip here.

JazzG I was surprise he featured so heavily since the beginning of the season. I think a good chunk of us were expecting him to get a bit of a breather and phased introduction to the season. Similar with Rice. I doubt that’s contributed to the issue tonight but the management of his playing time still leaves me uncomfortable.

Tam this I was thinking we would be trying to give him an easier run in given the problems he's had. It's gutting one for him if it sits him out for months. It also is hard to assess that his body is just not going to be upto it after what he's gone through

Tam I wonder if a good stretch off where he was actually able to rehab would sort it all out. Look at Ode, he was rushed back time after time but then got a proper break and now he's back to his best.
