Feel like Yamal gets talked about being better than he is because of his age, bit like Bellingham. Might be unfair though because I've not seen much of him this year. Has he gone up a level? Because if it's similar to the Euros then no way is he better than Saka.

That's not me playing down his ability, that it's even comparable speaks volumes for a 17yr old.

goon the things he does on the field this season for Barca is outrageous. He has things in his locker that other RW don't have.

Not interested in comparing him to Salah and co but my word is Saka special. He's the kind of of player that will strive to keep improving all throughout his twenties, which is a scary thought. Footballing IQ is off the charts. Not sure I'd swap him for anyone.

Claudius seen a tweet earlier saying he's past comparisons to Foden, Palmer, etc and it's Salah, etc now. He's up there with the very best in the world. Salah is the best PL player since Henry and Saka is at his level.

Y'know Saka's stock would be even higher if it wasn't for the fact that he is routinely targeted and fouled/manhandled by the opposition, if he had been afforded some reasonable protection from the ref he'd have scored and created more goals for sure.

Imagine if Chiellini had not dragged him down last minute in the Euro finals a few years ago, he could be a national hero right now.

My point though: Saka always seems to be a nice young man and I appreciate that about him.

Such a menace to play against.

He really has mastered what you want out of a wide forward. Always willing to go forward and with the strength/skill to compete when he's marked tightly. But then he follows that up with excellent off ball runs, and great set piece delivery.

There had been a discussion earlier this week how he compares to Salah. What I'm realizing is that Salah is still miles ahead when he's attacking a defender 1v1 but Saka has him beat almost everywhere else. So the question becomes do you want a more complete player, or an absurdly efficient attacker?

Think he has improved. Exceptional has become his baseline. The movement, control and assist for our second goal he laid on for Trossard were faultless and executed at an incredible level.

Gazza M been thinking about the goal Saka scored against Forest last week. It didn't get tonnes of attention, but I genuinely think it might be one of the best goals I've ever seen live.

First the touch to bring the ball down, then the give and go with Ødegaard. Everyone knew what he was trying to do as he dribbled across the area, he still managed to do it - and then the power on the shot back across goal with not a huge amount of backlift.

It reminded me both of a goal David Rocastle scored up at Liverpool 88/89 and Lionel Messi - I can give no higher praise than that!
