Speedster not really relevant to my point. When a club buys a 26 years old player and he doesn't get a league minute in two years there's something going on that wasn't expected.

This isn't a defence of him at all, I was very happy to see him leave.

Edit: That something could be depression, like MistaT says.

Seems risky keeping all of Madueke, Martinelli, and Trossars on the books.

Think you need to sell one of Martinelli or Trossard to ensure their value doesn’t drop further, and in turn jeopardize transfer funds for January or next season.

I've had the feeling for a while that if someone on the left leaves it will be Trossard, not Martinelli.
Key will be length of contract at new team for Leo.

Martinelli usually starts over Trossard so it makes perfect sense. Trossards got no value beyond this season anyway, if we are getting a new LW letting him go makes sense. Even if that LW is Madueke.

I'd cash in on Tross, then spend the next 6–12 months deciding which other forward(s) are surplus. It's not just Martinelli on the block, I'm curious to see how Havertz and Gyökeres plays out.

Getting the attack working and winning trophies is the key to raising values. That and someone in the Kroenke clan obtaining a Saudi brother-in-law.

Arteta is allowed to keep one (Calafiori), but we're building a team with real endurance. Zinny, Jesus and Partey pooled together have probably been out injured for longer than Myles Lewis-Skelly has been alive.

Klaus Zinchenko hasn’t been injury prone - he’s missed fewer games than Ben White has over the past 3 years. Arteta just lost faith in him.
