The clubs that would want him, like Porto, can't front his wages and the clubs that can, like fellow PL clubs, aren't interested. Still not sure Trossard is leaving. If I were him I'd look at the signings and think we have an excellent shot at big trophies next season, and with a bit of luck on the injury front (for him) he could end up playing a bit and be a part of it.

I do not want him to be considered one of the two main LWF options yet again though.

Trossard seems to be looking for a good last contract. It would put him in a tough position next summer if he plays out his deal here and then tries to negotiate after a season of being Arsenal’s seventh forward.

Juventus seemed keen on Zinchenko a while back, hopefully they come back with a bid. I think he'd do well in Italy, could work both as a fullback and a midfielder in their setup. Douglas Luiz's replacement?

Anyone but them please. Turkey or MLS would be much better from a fee standpoint. Juventus always seem to want to pick up dirt on the cheap.

We fucked up with Zinchenko.

I would sell Trossard, he's gone into a bit of a decline despite how great he's been.

An alternative, since we're doing such a huge forward revamp, would be to hold any decision on Trossard or Martinelli till winter. I reckon the latter could rocket back to form with Gyökeres arriving.

I think Trossard's value to us disappears with the Gyokeres signing. At his best Trossard was able to come on as a sub or starter, and finish one of his first/few chances. That was incredibly valuable when we had inefficient strikers, but Gyokeres should solve that whether he's starting or being subbed on if we're chasing/finishing a game.

We still have Lokonga on our books by the way, right? He's probably in the same category as Vieira: okay-ish player but unsellable due to his wages.

Vieira is to fancy to even shield the ball, he just showed it to people and if they took it they took it.

Klaus both player have traits that Arteta likes. Lokonga tight control and use of pausa, whilst Vieira has that leggy style with exaggerated angle bias when striking the ball. However but players lack in areas, such as duel power and concentration.

Vieira has the unfortunate features of being both tiny and incredibly weak. The fact he has the same name as the most powerful midfielder in Premier League history just seems like a cruel joke. Yea and he has a weird technique to first touch the ball towards the opponent.

Most small players first touch is to evade. Since you can spin quicker.

He literally showed the ball to the opposition and wanted them to commit so he shift it past them. But in the prem you're allowed more contact so everyone just blocked him with their upper body and he'd just threw himself the the floor wanting a foul.

Santi was ickle too and the same went for him. It’s about technique and also reactions to what your opponent and the ball are doing

lorddulaarsenal Modric was bullied for his first few months in the PL too. Top players adjust and overcome it. Vieira lacks intensity and ability as much as he lacks physicality.

He wasn't super tall but he was tall enough, certainly not short. Just his dribbling style had him hunched over most of the time making him seem shorter than he was.

Hleb was always hunched when dribbling. Dunno why but it worked for him as he was one of the best close control dribblers I have ever seen in the PL. Shame about gelato-gate.
