goon pretty much this. we're not a team that should be doing a root and stem rebuild of midfield at this stage. unless there's legitimate external or internal pressures we're not privy too, it seems as though we're giving ourselves more work to do than necessary

Gazza M Sounds like Xhaka was promised he could leave this summer. With Partey there might be other factors involved, definitely not ideal but as long as we bring in top replacements and get them in early we should be alright.

Hmm frankly don't mind. He is a quality player and can play 3 ATB. But if we sell him I would love Di Marco to replace him. Was quality in both the UCL final and yesterday in the nations league

Tierney is a quality player but why keep him if Arteta doesn't use him? If I were him I'd be forcing the issue and getting out.

I think it might be a bit much to change both starting CM in one summer.

Think it can be a good thing to change it all at once if we can the right players in... find the right blend straight away.. We are also going to be getting rid of Jorginho, Neny and Sambi in the next year most probably, so lots more to do....

Arteta has proven he can do large scale makeovers in the team.

Interesting Ornstein says a replacement would be required in addition to Rice.

As I said earlier disappointing we are losing Partey but this might be a mutual decision. The player might want that mega pay deal and you have to respect that.

JazzG I wouldn't be surprised if the club thought he simply wasn't worth the risk anymore and none of the big clubs in Europe want to touch him given the allegations against him. Doesn't leave him with many options.
