He’s quite unique as a player though. Has that look that the ball is not under control but it’s that which helps him evade players

We’ve had some amazing dribblers down the years, who have different styles - Trossard, Arshavin, Gervinho, Nasri, Hleb and Reyes come to mind

Thought he was really unlucky not to have more for us last season (off the top of my head the Leicester rocket disallowed and the bar hit against Sporting(?))

Wonderful player, wonderful winter signing. Looks like a half-priced or better bargain. Great personality as well.

It's easy to forget how good Martinelli is, however. The Brazilian will keep being picked whenever we've got to stretch or exhaust stronger opposition for a result. And Jesus is a lock for the central position.

That's why Trossard's current attitude is so helpful. I'm not sure what they may have done to piss him off at Brighton (was it Potter related?), but we'd better avoid it.

A few thoughts:
*with Rice (and Havertz to a lesser extent) in the team I think it's easier to play Trossard on a flank with Zinchenko

*I absolutely love Martinelli, but some competition will do him well. He's dropped a level in regards to efficiency, and I wonder if a break will do him good.

*against defensive (low block) teams I still think Trossard could play the 8 and especially at home

We should get Trossard's old mate Mitoma from Brighton for some additional left sided competition for Martinelli

Bring Back Kerrea Gilbert I'm constantly up and down on Rashford. But at the end of it all, he's never been consistently good in his career. Even this season when he's injury free he's annoying United fans with his constant ball hogging and going for glory when the pass is right there.

Yeah I think that's it with him, rarely hits a prolonged purple patch. I'd take Mitoma over him, I think he can still go up a level or two.
