lorddulaarsenal yeah so that's what I thought it was, timing and decision making when passing the ball. It's not something everyone is born with, but it's a skill you can learn. Almost all our defensive players are able to hold on to the ball till the last moment, suck in the opposition and then play the outlet pass to evade the high press. I see no reason why Smith Rowe should be much different - he's a smart kid, he'll learn when and how to let the play develop and improve in this regard. Plus his passing/decision making already isn't bad at all.
Other elements in his bag include very good close control, a great first touch, strong running and acceleration both on and off the ball, decent passing vision and good finishing... He's 22/23, and has lost a critical year of development, but don't forget he was deemed ready at 20 by Arteta, our Mr can do no wrong, to be a worthy successor to no less than Ozil when he gave him the #10 shirt, and he's already done more with his career than Mudryk the 80 million pound man, yet apparently some can't wait to gift wrap him to some mid table team.
Almost as terrible a "discussion" as using Saka as back up left back.
