What a win! Saka is a truly world class player. Some of the others are close but right now he's really a cut above. We must improve on Partey though, also for footballing reasons. I know everyone thinks he's the second coming but he lacks the agility and technique to play out of a well-executed press. He only improved when United got tired in the second half. Zinchenko really shows how it's done. On that note, I really can't believe what a good footballer he is.

We were clearly the better team but we weren’t at our best- says a lot that we can not play at our top level and still be head and shoulders above them in terms of quality. Haven’t felt this optimistic about our chances since 2008. Let’s hope for a better outcome this time. Long way to go but we look composed, up for both the big moments and prepared against the smaller sides

Clrnc it is true though I'm sure the confidence and seniority he's enjoying here can't hurt. Same with Jesus. Those two came here and went from being fringe players to key players and it makes the world of difference.

You only have to look at the difference it makes to Eddie when he's starting in the league every week vs getting the odd game in Europa.

But yeah he's superb.

Just got back from the Emirates some time back and my word the noise when that third goal hit the net isn't something I've experienced ever.

On the way to the game I was telling my mate that it would be so lovely to witness an Henry winner in 2007 moment in the stadium. And it was just that.

Can't wait for MOTD.

it is no doubt a difficult subject to accurately assess and monitor, but surely in the 21st century technology can assist us. By fitting managers with some kind of motion sensor device their gesticulative activity could be monitored and fair thresholds set for what audiences may find bearable over 90 mins. This could be combined with video analysis; a panel of experts monitoring body language, facial expressions and assigning an ‘irritation value’. High scores on both measures would incur penalties such as: eg. Straitjacket for subsequent game; stadium ban; fine; livestreamed fight in a pit with a wild animal(s) etc.

It may sound overly punitive but just think for a moment, this highly strung, bum clenching little maniac is going to be doing this over whole seasons for an indefinite period of time. Action must surely be taken.

Also just read through the entire thread (some 400 posts) and I don't think I was watching the same game to a lot of people here.

We absolutely battered them. They created exactly zero chances. The first goal was a world class strike from Rashford and the second was a gift. Besides that they pretty much had nothing.

Their entire game plan was to get near the box and fall down. Bruno, Antony, and even Rashford in the second half. It didn't seem like they had any desire to win. They were wasting time in the first half. And that De Gea time wasting was disgusting. Hope he recovers from the very serious shoulder dislocation he suffered.

Vile team. We are so so so much better.

I am Arsenal Till I Die I felt nervy throughout the game as their counterattacking threat seemed very dangerous, but watching the highlights and seeing the stats afterwards I agree, in reality we pretty much battered them.

I think Tomi completely changed the game after he came on. Nullified Rashford completely and supported Saka brilliantly with overlaps as well as underlpas when needed. His two footedness is a brilliant asset to have.

What a cameo from Trossard too. Was brilliant for the third goal.

This is why we need depth. The subs were the difference between the United and Newcastle results. Glad to have more options on the bench now.

Burnwinter he was pretty fair. Last week he also said his goal should be offside against City.

I am Arsenal Till I Die agree. Tomi and Trossard was important for us in the 2nd half. I was just thinking without Trossard this would be a Newcastle game again while watching. So so important to have reinforcements to back out title charge up.
