In all seriousness, it highlights how little our fullbacks contribute to our attacking game, not so much in the cross from the byline - that's a fraction of a fullbacks attacking threat - but in passing and running beyond the ball. With how strong we are through the middle and because teams stay so narrow and compact to fight that - flying fullbacks would kill our opponents. I'm so so disappointed with how we use our fullbacks and how little they give us.

Hulk, Falcao, Fernando, Coentrao, Ottamendi perhaps. Some good players moved last summer too - Cissokho, Bruno Alves. There is always talent in Portugal.
Coentrao and Hulk are the only two I'd take here.

Coentrao was poor tonight. He's a very good attacking fullback, but very average defensively. In fact, I felt Benfica, after all they praise they go from the first leg, were shown up a little tonight.
Wow. That was brilliant tbf, never seen that before.
I know he scored some good goals from corners for Bolton though.

They were both shite when they played against us.
I don't watch the Portugese league but I've read Falcoas been great this season, would he make it here?
Falcao played against us? Don't remember that.
Pretty sure we won't win easily against these lots if we faced them this week.
Don't remember which goal (was it Fabianski's back pass fuck up?) but he scored against us too.
Edit - yeah, just checked. Falcao scored from that quick free kick in the away leg last season. Can't remember anything about his performance from either game though.
