JazzG the PL has become the Super League, no one outside Barca, Real, (maybe) A. Madrid, Bayern, Inter or PSG would finish in the top half of the PL. It's sad state of affairs for the rest of Europe at the moment. Let's rub it in by locking in the treble for English clubs on Saturday!

Pleased for Palace. I was told it was the "worst ever Premier League" though. Does that mean it's also been the worst ever European season?

Also is there any reason they didn't both play expansive gung-ho risky football and there was only 1 goal, going in off someone's shin from a rebound? It's almost like 5-4 was a one off freak event and not the norm in these games or something afterall. 🤷

invisibleman18 European leagues have no team depth so the prem can be relative to the English League at a bit of a dip and still better then the rest of Europe. Outside the champions League the teams from Europe can't compete with the prem for money so it's not so surprising to see this kind of outcome

Only have to look back to last season and United v Spurs in the bottom half of the table but still miles better then that tier of Europe.

So that must mean the league is tougher than ever because instead of the wealth and talent being spread more evenly across Europe, it's all concentrated within a single league.

TambourineMan Funny you mention that I remember around the time when we signed up for the European Super league Wenger was absolutely bamboozled by it. Said the main reason for that super league was to give European clubs parity with the PL clubs so why would the PL clubs sign up for this?

Saw a tweet that Inter got €15.7m for winning Serie A, the bottom team in the PL got £110m. Talk that Iraola has turned down AC Milan after learning what his transfer budget would be.

This is pretty funny. Some Argentinian social media influencer set out to find the least known player at the World Cup and settled on an NZ (and Wellington Phoenix) player who had under 5000 followers. Asked all his followers to follow and promote him and he's gone viral and now is up to 1.2 million followers in 2 days. 😆
The only NZ player who is actually reasonably well known is Chris Wood of Nottingham Forest and he only has 162K followers.

Asterix The NZ player (Tim Payne) has gone from 4000 to now 4.6 million followers in under a week because of this. He was also in the team that got battered 4-0 by Haiti in their pre-tournament friendly today.
He's surpassed the All Blacks and Kane Williamson and is now only behind Israel Adesanya as the most followed NZ sportsperson. 😆

Dude, WTF.. Yeah, i agree, i dont care if he was only unconscious for a brief time and he walked off the pitch on his own, he's flirting with disaster now. Football is not worth his life. He's 34 and i think he's gotta be done with his career now. If i was his family, i would pretty much tell him its time to hang 'em up.

The game gives you a random team/year per position and you make a first XI

Throws up some real blast from the past names. Worth it for that alone.

that was fun. i didn't know you could reroll, so i was stuck with whatever team they gave me. i had to make do with some lame teams and i was projected to finish 4th with the squad i assembled and finished champs.

Tam that's good fun! The developers must be Tottenham fans as I keep losing to Spurs but beating Arsenal.

Finally won the League playing 433.

Rooney up top, van Persie left and Beckham right.

Midfield 3 of Vieira, Cazorla and Gary McAllister.

Le Saux, Huth, Stones, Carr across the back and Neil Sullivan in goal.

Re-rolled once to get rid of a crap Coventry side.

That's pretty cool.
Had a go using all time Premier League filling by squad rather than position and 4-2-3-1 formation. Projected 3rd and came 1st via a 5-0 loss to Arsenal.
