It amazes me that Deschamps is allowed to stay on the job year after year. For 13 years he's had the best player material in the world, and he has one world cup and one NL victory to show for it, and about 180 minutes of good football combined. Borderline useless. His teams are just as exciting as he was as a player. You'd rather watch paint dry.

Klaus He’s won trophies with them but imo that is due to the ridiculous amount of talent at his disposal rather than his coaching. Like when people point at Gareth Southgate’s career as coach, they didn’t get far in those competitions due to him!

zubimendi and Williams were both good in the 1st half that I watched. Williams ended up with 1 goal and 1 assist. he has a knack for making an impact in big games, and we need more of that to balance our team of steady eddies.

Haha Australia had about 35% possession at home against Japan's B team and nicked a 1-0 win in the 90th minute with an absolute belter from their left back who hasn't scored for the national team in about 8 years. I have man flu and went to bed at half time in disgust at the horrible way in which we were "playing".
