I flip flop on Isak - sometimes I feel I’d rather a more bullish striker. Gyokeres is in that catergory

lorddulaarsenal I definitely see the appeal, but Isak can be so lethal on the counter. We miss speed and elegance in the striking department that I associate with Arsenal, and I want to bring it back.

I'd take Gyökeres without hesitation, but the heart wants what it wants.

Clrnc see whenever I've seen compilations like this, I don't find them that impressive. His finishing doesn't seem all that precise (a lot of shots straight at the 'keeper, for example).

Plenty of average players have been top scorer in Portugal. Bas Dost got the golden boot with 34 goals, whilst Jonas won the year before and year after with similar totals. Remember when people raved about Jackson Martinez?

Colour me sceptical.

Coombs Same. I wanted Isak before he went to Newcastle. I wanted him instead of Jesus and I want him now. He will get injured but if we have Havertz at least that can be mitigated somewhat

Isak just has so much. His off the ball movement is top CF stuff. He can beat his man one on one. His finishing is great. And he combines well and sets up his team mates too. He'd be ideal.

I still want to understand what is happening with the PSR - and why Liverpool only bought that 30m pound goalie, City only brought in Savinho, etc. There were clearly nerves around spending. I heard that even Edu was allowed to do certain deals this season (like Calafiori) only when it became apparent that the player was at risk of going elsewhere. But otherwise, money was held back. Hopefully, there is a bit more freedom.

15 goals in 25 apps for Sweden is just crazily good. Although Haaland is another level, 38 goals in 39 caps 😂
