RowJimmy yes? It's way too much. Jesus-level player, and we'd sell Jesus for that money without blinking.
Conte is pathetic.
And I hate to say it, but all roads seem to point to Spurs eventually enquiring after Nketiah.
Burnwinter now that's a player I don't mind selling to Spuds
Clrnc With Postecoglou cash-strapped and short on firepower, and both Arsenal and Spurs supposedly "hovering" over Solanke … but Solanke having a £65m price tag …
RowJimmy yes. I do not rate him at all
United do this a lot, probably the only club that does it more then us.
I like him...
United not overpaying, things are changing over there?
Price went up.
I assume they don't have money problems any more?
How can champions league free Chelsea afford all of this?
Leicester's interest in Carvalho probably ends their pursuit of Nelson. Shame.
I'd prefer Alvarez to the strikers we've been linked with like Gyokeres, Sesko and Zirkzee.
JazzG what in the money laundering is this? how are shitty able do deals of this magnitude?
Gazza M And how are Atletico able to do it? Sounds like the payment structure may be spaced out widely though.
Yup something doesn’t feel right about this deal
He's a mediocre player too. Say what you like about Simeone tactically, but his talent ID has been atrocious in recent years.
Atletico used to have supreme strikers in the past. Players like Torres, Falcao, Aguero and even players like Forlan did well there.
I think if they can create the chances for him he'll put them away but he doesn't have a supreme all round game imo.
This is definitely money under the table. A la liga team cannot afford a deal like this without selling somebody significant in the process.
Claudius After paying 35M for Gallagher who no one else wanted and not being able to give away Joao Felix.
I rate Alvarez - it's not easy being second choice to an elite striker like Haaland but he's still contributed a fair amount and was adaptable enough to play in midfield while KbB was injured.
Mirth but do you 90m euro rate him?
Claudius Not surprised by the fee - there's a scarcity of strikes in Europe and Alvarez, even if you don't rate him, has an excellent CV and has resale value as he's still relatively young.
Mirth they'll never get their money back.
Coombs they don’t need to make all their money back to de-risk the signing
Mirth not necessarily, sure, but it almost certainly doesn't de-risk it in this case because they are massively overpaying.
