Well, they are both owned by the same company so some Chelsea and that French club type shit may be with one PIF club selling to another on the cheap. Then again they have enough money anyways and are not subject to PSR ir FFP so to help Newcastle out they may just decide to buy him for £500m, you never know.

But yeah I agree. It's not like I'm convinced Isak would want to go to Saudi at this point in time anyways.

TambourineMan I don't rate the deal, but the speed at which they're doing business is impressive. they've done the 2 biggest deals of the transfer window before pre-season. ekitike went from being tangentially linked to here we go in the space of a week.

Frankfurt have fleeced alot of money for some average strikers over the years. kolo muani, jovic, caller to name a few.

Fair to say Wirtz and Ekitikie would have been on a lot of our wishlists for this summer and Liverpool have got them both for £200m, whereas we have gone for depth with our budget.

Hopefully our strategy pays off but it's hard not to be envious of their signings.

if the ekitike move is an elaborate poker move to make Newcastle blink, then fair plays to Liverpool. I know Romano said ekitike-pool was a locker, but I've seen subsequent news that it might not be totally agreed.

£79/€95m is a heft price. I rate him, would have chosen him over Sesko for us but that's a big gamble. No wonder Sporting are holding out for more, the markets gone crazy.

Qwiss Yup, striker market has gone mental. You can see why Leipzig have held firm on Sesko and why Sporting are trying to change the terms as well.
