Claudius I think someone like Sesko or Ekitike can manage that for us, I think even Ollie Watkins easily manages that for us. Of all the players we've been linked to Ekitike excites me the most, I'm not saying we shouldn't go big for him but
flobaba Liverpool are letting players go and Chelsea know Jackson isn't good enough, they are both heavily linked to strikers this window and both will make signings in that area. Both clubs are usually very good at picking up talent as well.
Klaus Isak will come to Arsenal because we will win the PL next season ๐ The boy will be on his knees begging to join ๐
Watkins has 50 goals and 29 assists in his last three seasons, think he has a G/A every 110 mins in the PL over that time. Not comparable to Sterling at all. We don't need him to lead the line either, imo he just needs to be an option or rotation, we had our highest point tally in almost 20 years with Kai Havertz leading the line and scored over 90 goals that season. I know it is fashionable to hate on him but he is good enough for us. What we really need is our No.10 to step up and sign a top quality RW, That along with a top quality CM in Zubimendi will massively improve our attack. This season our goal scored has considerably dropped but I think much of that is injuries have fucked us so we need numbers.
Sicario2 What Fergie was the best at was signing the best players in the PL. Cantona, Rio, Keane, Cole, Yorke, Sheringham, RvP, Rooney, Tevez and Berbatov just off the top of my head were some of his best signings, all signed from within the PL. When he wanted a player he would force the club to make sure they got him. There were very few times he missed out, one example being Vieira. We did that when we signed Declan Rice, we signed the best midfield player available to us in the league.
Fergie also put a lot of weight behind how those players played against Man Utd, that would influence his thinking. A large part of Fergie's glory years Man Utd didn't even have the best striker in the league. We can thank Shearer and Henry for much of that time but Fergie always had options, always had players he could bring off the bench to change the game. That is what we don't have, we have a good XI and then behind there isn't much.
Qwiss I agree it isn't a given that we will get him, I'm just throwing out another option for us. We don't have to sign a ยฃ70m+ striker, it would be great if we did and that player clicks for us but if we sign another attacking player and RW that alone will elevate our attack. We do need another CF option because we rant Havertz into the ground this season so need someone else. Ideally a pure CF but at worst case a false 9 could work for us as well.
