QuincyAbeyie I think England underperformed under Southgate considering the players he have in his disposal. He constantly got the formation wrong throughout his tenure, played his favorites instead of the better or most in-form players and the results doesn't lie.
People keep going about how he won many KO games, but take a closer look at the picture is very different. In both world cups, he got arguably drawn into the easiest group and couldn't win against the only 2 decent teams. In both tournaments they could only win against piss poor teams and lost to the first decent side he faced. There's nothing to shout about winning against Iran who were focused on losing to go against their regime, Wales which is pretty much the worst team or so this world cup, and an injury ravaged Senegal.
In the Euros they were the only team with home advantage and again got the luck of the draw yet couldn't capitalise.
He is given time and has the luck of the draw on his side for 3 tournaments yet still flopped. Any half decent manager with better tactical nouns would have done better than him
