Sicario2 @Claudius Yeah, if fairness do you know I was actually conflating the kicking the ball away and the foul for some reason. But my broader point still stands - the yellow wasn't under the same circumstances as Partey's. If Saka goes and gets booked in the return leg then I'd certainly be critical given the situation he's put himself in.

Claudius Timber got yellow for a foul, Saka for getting pissed off at his perfectly good tackle being called up. Partey got one for a push, knowing a second yellow would rule him out of this game and in the 85th min of a game where we had won the tie. Completely brain dead moment, you could see how pissed off Rice was.

Burnwinter well we definitely missed him last night. It put Rice at DM where he fucked up for the goal and was less influential than in midfield and it put Merino in CM so we had no height up front. However all that is because Partey was a moron in Madrid. Both things are true.

Partey has hit the wall. He's had a decent season, but he's nowhere near the player he was 2-3 years ago. Looks slower, less agile, and far less confident on the ball.
