When I think about the games we've struggled in this year, a few stand out with a few issues/concerns that could be replicated by Chelsea
Liverpool -- Thiago had Odegaard's number, and I found his defensive contribution wanting. I worry how Odegaard may defend against Kovacic who is a tidy/progressive passer. I'm not sure why, but I'm less worried if they only have Jorginho in midfield.
Leeds -- they got after us with an energetic set of wingers who played centrally alongside an AM. It challenged White because he was getting double teamed, and there's only so much support that Partey can provide. I'm not sure Chelsea has the players right now though to play like that. Sterling/Pulisic are off form....more likely, we'll see Havertz alongside/behind Auba, and Mount sneaking into our right channel. That worries me a little less because I think Havertz will be easier enough for Partey to contain, leaving White to focus on Mount.
Finally, I'm oddly not worried about us scoring vs them. I think their CBs and FBs are suspect, and they haven't committed to any of them. Sounds like the type of game that Saka/Martinelli will cause problems in, and I'm backing Jesus to come good with a goal.
