If Saka is injured the question do you play Nelson knowing that he would have to play Sunday as well?

Absolutely, all else being equal.

Nelson's barely played so any competitive minute should be helping him keep sharp at this point.

Only other thing to say about it is that perhaps Nelson's not our only option to fill out the front six, we could try something different, get Vieira involved for instance.

We need a bit more coherence in the line-up than what we have done in other games. If we field Saturday's team minus Tomi, Partey and Saka, I think that should make it super easy for us to win the game in the first half. And then we can pull 5 players out in the second half. We need to make this as easy as possible for the players on the field, so they don't end up having to learn each other's patterns or get tired chasing a result in the 85th minute.

Xhaka is suspended too so he won't feature. I wouldn't start Jesus either.

Problem is I think it's as much about giving others mins as it is about resting anyone. Tierney, Eddie, Sambi, Vieira, Holding and Nelson would all probably expect to start, I think we'll have to stick with a mixed line-up, but that should be more than enough for Zurich at home.

Should be enough for Zurich at home. If this team can't manage we can bring the big guns on.

Zurich have a small possibility to qualify for the conference league, so might have something to play for.

Edit - If Elneny isn't fit to start, play Øde and drop Sambi to #6

I agree with that team, just I would put Cedric in for Tomyiasu. Shame that ESR is still out. And yeah, that team should be enough to beat them at home.

Comforting that with no ESR and Zinchenko we've been able to do so well for so long. Zinchenko was a big summer signing, and ESR is the man behind the Boxing Day table after all.

Zinchenko had the same injury history for City that he does for us, didn't he? Surely that was factored in when deciding to buy him.
