There's no game I want to win more than this one.

We're coming into it in great form, much better than United even with their recent recovery. They've got a couple of big money signings to introduce though and are dangerous on the counter. We we will have to be out our best, can't afford a brain freeze again like last season.

White hasn't trained this morning which doesn't bode well for his availability, but Odegaard, Zinchenko and Ramsdale have all trained.

With that in mind I'd go with this:

Ramsdale

Tomi - Saliba - Gabriel - Zinchenko

Sambi

Odegaard - Xhaka

Saka - Jesus - Martinelli

Tomi is a strong introduction to the team. I'd trust Sambi and play our left back rather than go with cover in both areas.

These wankers need to be put back in their place.

United look good and are usually either plucky or have the officials on side against us.

Expecting an undeserved loss here.

Hopefully though Nketiah will whip up a storm and slice them open

Massive game and test for us, this is the game where we find out whether this team has genuinely stepped up or not. We've come to this stadium countless times and somehow managed to lose despite being the better side so lets hope they boys show what they're about.

Will be a tough game as well with our players out, hopefully Zinchenko will be back. Man Utd had a horror start but come in with three wins on the trot so they'll have confidence. They look very slick and dangerous on the counter attack.

Well they've quick wingers so its not too bad as Tierneys better equipped to face them. He's slowly gaining form too. Be more worried about midfield if Partey and Ode are both out.

Our problem is the Partey less midfield. United will press the hell out of Lokonga, and I don't think he's confident enough to try to evade or play through the press. This will force him or us to be mostly conservative through the middle, taking away quite a bit of our attacking threat/thrust.

I want this game, bad. If we are going to be 5 in 6, then I'd much rather have lost against Villa or whomever else, and won here, than for us to lose this.

Regardless of your opinion on Sambi, Partey has been pretty poor this season. For every decent through ball, there's been about 2-3 simple passes that go awry.

It'll be a big test for Sambi but I'm not convinced Partey would fare much better in the scenario you describe, based on his current form.

Partey is much better defensively than Lokonga in any case.
