@[deleted] - I agree. He looks more of a risk taker than Partey which I think we can afford to do in the system of having the support for the fullbacks.. Would have preferred an 8 right now but kind of hoping that Lokonga can get a chance there.

Yep and I wouldn't stop there if the opportunity presents in terms of any other signings that fit our game plan/targets, regardless of FFP etc.

If that's the way they're thinking hen the "they won't sell in the summer, they're in the middle of the season" doesn't really fly because they'll be in the middle of something in all transfer windows and the timing would be equally bad for them no matter when they sell.

Well, that’s what happened last January. Edu inquired. They told him to eat a cock. And not au vin. But he will soon be too old for Brazil. So they need to sell soon or risk destroying valuation

From what I read, the Palmeiras president was already under a lot of pressure for selling Gabriel Veron in the summer window to Porto.

Veron was the brightest talent in their team along with Danilo and the fans were not happy that he was sold in the middle of the league/cup campaign.

The club has an election coming soon and the current president needs the ultras votes and therefore, Palmeiras selling both in the same window was unlikely.
