seeing Spurs and Chelsea in the Champions League, and then seeing us in the Europa league says we will be very ready for this competition next year. we should use our absence this year as a window to push to win the league. with City around who knows if we will get this chance again in the next 10 years.

To win the league we need to be focused on the league.

I would seriously consider tanking in the Europa league if I was Arteta. Would have been playing Nwaneri and co from the get go. The only issue is the momentum and confidence boost those wins give the squaddies, and the opportunity to shake off rust. But I would stop using first team and first team adjacent players at this stage. Dull competition.

We are fine. We are top of the league and this silly competition. Arteta wants to breed winning culture. He consistently says this. So his squads align with this idea.
Winning Europa group is key cos we avoid 2nd round. Helpful given how tough our December and Jan are.

Don't think we need to win the Europa league to prove anything to anyone. It's a 2nd rate European championship. The likes of Frankfurt and Rangers might be excited to participate / win, and that's good for them. We should have eyes set on bigger fish trophywise.

Our only European trophy is a Cup Winner's Cup, a tournament no one really remembers with mostly random teams. We haven't been in the CL for six years now.

I'd be over the moon winning the Europa League, bar the CL and league it's the biggest trophy anyone can win ffs. Arsenal fans thinking themselves too big for it don't deserve shit

The two competitions that really matter are the league and the champions league. but two things
1) with financial doping, winning these trophies is extremely tough. this is not 2004. we do not have god-given right to win these trophies anymore.
2) just good to build winning culture. win everything in front of you.
